What would you do? Go.

Here’s a thought:

What if one day you woke up and found out that the earth opened up isolating your house entirely from the main land, creating a huge rift around your house. And over the night, the entire technology was mysteriously wiped out. Phone networks are down, electricity is not even remotely available and no mechanical vehicle would work. If you’re wondering, it’s not a post-apocalyptic setting. In fact, trees are still green the sky is perfectly blue. I’m just lightening up the first 3 sentences of the paragraph, Heh. Anyway, back to my story, the rift is like 500 meters long. And it is so steep that it would too difficult to climb down. Even if you managed climb down, a strong, violent water with sharp rocks at the bottom will kill you (Point is, you cannot go to the other side just by climbing down and crossing the rift. That’ll make my story so stupid). And from your position, you can see people (I told you it’s not a post-apocalyptic scenario) on the other side. Here’s another weird part, you can hear what they say, barely, because of the wind. Somehow, their voices travel with the wind. It’s a desperate situation and you need to survive.

Yeah, these are the kind of thoughts usually plague my mind. But if you were in the situation, what would you do? Go.

Update:
Emer asked if there’s someone with you. The answer is no. You’re all by yourself.

    Don't worry bro. I kinda anticipated that replies for this blog will be long. After all, I'm asking for a solution.

    What if one day you woke up and found out that the earth opened up isolating your house entirely from the main land, creating a huge rift around your house – I will check for the nearest Barangay hall and maybe inquire of the tanod's wise counsel.

    And over the night, the entire technology was mysteriously wiped out. Phone networks are down, electricity is not even remotely available and no mechanical vehicle would work. – I must be in the Philippines right?

    the rift is like 500 meters long. And it is so steep that it would too difficult to climb down. Even if you managed climb down, a strong, violent water with sharp rocks at the bottom will kill you – an anomaly of this scale would only be caused either by alien invasion or Comelec junta…the latter is not possible cause the big guy resigned so it might be an alien invasion after all..

    the rift is like 500 meters long. And it is so steep that it would too difficult to climb down. Even if you managed climb down, a strong, violent water with sharp rocks at the bottom will kill you – its an alien invasion alright…but putting myself in this situation would yield some options that are quite easy to take..like;

    its a good thing I still have my house..better start scribbling on my notebook to write about this weird experience and as the earth has the tendency to heal itself, one day would come where the ground i am standing on would kiss the part of the earth where it took off…without technology wiped out..its a great chance to live in peace..about the voices i hear..i would not care about it for i could not do anything about it..the safest place for me would be to stay where i am and let the earth do what it must…and in the fiercest silence of this isolated life, i would surely pick up great lessons, those that i could carry to the grave…besides 6 feet under the ground is not final…there's a great party coming up in mid air when Risen Savior returns…

    ok its a weird response…but its all i could think of..besides, your story is weird..so spare me the grin and let me draw out my own weird options for one weird story…

    haha..sorry i might have blogged out your blog on this comment…cheers to the important stuff! 😀
